Haiti food convoy attacked....

This world never ceases to amaze me, I don't understand how anyone could steal food and things that have been donated to victims that have suffered such a tragedy. On Saturday twenty armed men blocked a road and tried to hijack a convoy caring food from the airport in Jeremie. The men fled the scene after U.N. and Haitian officers fired warning gunshots.
In Jacmel, also a southern city, 33 prisoners escaped when the prisons collapsed. Mobs have stolen food and looted goods from the many victims that are living in squalid tents of sheets and sticks. This has cause neighbors in the camp to join together and protect their survival materials, by either banding together or staying awake all night to prevent raids.

I am not sure if I am an unusual person, but i feel like the greed has taken over too many people in the world. Why steal when you can join and help? Why do people only think of their self? There is alwasy a big picture to see, we just need to grind our eyes open wide!

  1. A tragedy will bring the best and worst out in people. It is a shame that some resort to vilence. But my question is, where was the help for the U.S. from other countries after Kitrana and 9/11? It always seems that we are the ones giving and helping.

  2. David. I have to agree with you! To be honest I think it's a shame what happened to them, but people get your head out of the clouds and look how much money thay have gotten from the world. Enough to tear down the entire country and rebuild. When do we look at our own world and help it! My God. War vets living on the streets and shelters. 9/11 heroes that got hurt without money to pay their medical bills. Why don't you give to your own?

  3. Unfortunatly you are correct. We send massive amounts of money to multiple foreign countries that hate us and for what? So they can build up armys and attack us?
